1.
A) When he’s texting for long periods of time, his posture turns into a forward neck and shoulder posture, which causes stress from the weight of his head onto the back of his neck and onto his shoulders. He doesn’t take breaks while he is texting, therefore, causing repetitive strain in his fingers, and strain in his wrists from holding his phone in the same position for too long.
B) An ergonomic product would solve his pains entirely for three reasons. Firstly, his phone is most likely a smart phone; therefore, most likely there are a small amount of ergonomic accessories that can reduce his pain on a touch screen device. Second of all, purchasing ergonomic add on(s) and accessories can help to relieve his pain but, will not teach him how to discipline his cell phone usage and will only teach him that all of the pains in his body can be easily relieved by buying more and more accessories and not responsibility. Finally, buying ergonomic accessories for his posture will only help him improve while sitting down, and will not help him learn how to maintain a proper posture walking, standing up and sitting without any support.
C) To relieve his pain without any ergonomic accessories, Kyle has to learn how to manage and control his addicting texting habit. He will have to learn to refrain from texting in certain periods of time and make use of short stretching breaks between texting periods. Then, he will have to learn how to naturally adjust his posture, by straightening his back, allowing his head to stay above his shoulders and move his eyes down to the screen instead of his entire head, and slightly, tuck his chin in.

A) Instead of putting his co workers in risk of serious injury, Dan should have used a mechanical device that he can drive/control, that can carry the boxes for him, which could reduce injury to himself and reduce risk of injury to his fellow co workers. If the box was the appropriate (not oversized/overweight too much) size to be handled by 2 people, Dan should have at least carried the boxes with one other worker, to prevent any injury or discomfort for him and his co workers, and because originally, this was Dan’s job.
B) The boxes were oversized and overweight for Dan to carry, therefore, carrying them would result in Dan suffering from a very serious injury to his back, shoulders, neck and arms, and would restrict his line of vision , therefore, increasing the risk of him injuring other workers in his environment and damaging the products.
C)These products are what all workers constantly lifting heavy boxes should wear to prevent injury, however, because the box was impossible for Dan to carry alone, having these products in this situation would not help because they do not allow him to reduce the mass of the box or reduce the size of the box to allow to carry them by himself.
3.
A)The ergonomic improvements and products that Parker had made and bought helped in relieving his previous pains and sores, but, are not able to reduce his extreme work load. His extreme and busy work load caused him to suffer from a huge amount of stress, which also, most likely caused his terrible migraines. Parker did not purchase any ergonomic product or anything to protect his eyes from the long hours of driving in the sunlight or in the dark of night.
B) If Parker decided to ignore the new pains and sores he is experiencing, it would only result in increasing the level of stress and eyestrain to a more, dangerous level. Lack of responsibility and attention to his pains can eventually cause him to suffer from a very serious injury , as it only serves as a temporary solution to his problem.
C)In all the jobs in the world, there is no perfectly, comfortable job, even if you work at home. This is why deciding to quit his job, is a terrible move for Parker. If he quits his job, he will waste time searching endlessly for a “comfortable” career, which could take away useful time learning how to adapt his body to his working space/ work environment and prevent any further injury, using ergonomic principles and products, and, could eventually, make his job more comfortable, safe and efficient.
