Welcome to David's Homepage on "Automation"! Today you will be learning about "Automation and Productivity" and many example of it!
So What is Automation? Automation is the use of machines to enhance productivity and the production of goods. We have used our own energy to do things like make goods but since the age of mechanization this had stopped and changed the aspect of life. Instead of us hand-making the good we now use the machines to do it for us making it not only more efficient but increases the production too. Automation has had a huge impact across the world. Now, telephone operators are pretty much non-existent, instead they use automated operator that repeat the same message over and over again. People used to tell the money too, then came the A.T.M (automated teller machine) which tells the money for you. Packaging by hand was the normal, now people would just put the logo sticker on and let the machine/robot do all the work. Ultimately, automation change the world.
So pretty much automation made everything more efficient.
Many factories looked like this before the age of mechanization. (1800's)
