What is Automation
Automation is the use of machines and computers to control systems and information technologies to improve productivity in the production of goods and the delivery of services

An Automated system is used for both simple and complex tasks such as washing dishes in a dishwasher to creating an aerodynamic machine at a factory. Automation is also another way to increase productivity by replacing the current system with an automated system. When you install an automated system, the machines monitor and react to situations just like a human would (wow it’s amazing how lazy we've gotten over the years). let’s use a video game console for example, when we put a game inside of the console, it reads the disk and send's the data through the console telling the rest of the system and the TV to play this, download that, and so on.
What is Productivity
A measure of the efficiency (speed) of a person or machine in converting inputs into useful outputs
A well designed system's improve productivity because it completes tasks faster and can do multiple tasks at the same time.
