Saving Time
Ergonomics can benifit people in many different ways. One way it can do this is by saving people time with efficient use of machines or equipment. If items are ergonomically improved to be more efficient, than tasks will be completed in less time. Therefore, making machines or equipment more efficient can save people a great deal of time.
For example:
Ergonomically improved garden tools like the radius garden weeder are more efficient because they greatly reduce the time to dig up dirt, plant seeds or cut weeds.

Health
Ergonomics also looks to prevent many musculoskeletory injuries caused by stress and strain to the body. It is trying to do this by stopping the physical and mental stress and strain caused by bad use of equipment and machines. These injuries are commonly known as Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI) and they include Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CPS) and Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). These stress or strain injuries can easily be prevented by having better sitting/standing posture, holding and using devices properly, or looking at screens from a reasonable distance/with less focus.
