Inclined Planes
An inclined plane is a ramp and it is one of the two main simple machines. It makes sure that a person does not need to use more force they can handle instead they use less force for a longer distance. Although you are doing more work than you are when picking the object straight up most people would rather use an inclined plane.




The inclined plane is not very efficient because there is tons of friction on an inclined plane compared to a lever when sliding. This is because the object is rubbing against the inclined plane so some of the force is being used to overcome the friction between the object and the inclined plane. A way to reduce friction on an inclined plane would be to add wheels to the object or to put a lubricant on the
