Many parts of your body are levers, for example your arm. The levers in our body give us the ability to run, throw things, write, and more. Our arms are a class 1 lever. This is because the fulcrum, in this case being the elbow, is in between our load arm and effort arm. The effort arm is your biceps and the load arm is your forearm and hand. Our arms have a mechanical advantage of less than one because our forearms are longer than our biceps. Therefore we can have a more efficient workout. The process of using our hands to lift something include other levers like our fingers and wrists.
