In the U.S.A, in 1939, Mr. Luther George Simjian was the one who started to build the first ATM. In 1939, he put a test model out in New York city, but after 6 months it was removed because of the lack of customer acceptance.The first fully functioning ATM was placed in the Kingsdale Shopping Center in Upper Arlington, Ohio, in 1959, and in 1960 Mr. Simjian got his product patented.
