1. What are the 2 types of forces, name them and give an example for each.

Answer: The two types of forces are contact, and action at a distance force.
- Contact: Kicking a soccer ball (anything that you must come in contact with in order to complete the action.
- Action at a distance:Lifting a pair of keys or paper clip, by using a magnet to attract the objects to it. (Anything that you don’t come in contact with to complete an action)


2. Give 2 difference between weight and mass.
Answer:
1) Weight is effected by gravity, its all it depends on. While Gravity have no effect on Mass
2) Mass is measured in kg, while weight is measured in newtons


3. Do forces play an important role in our lives? Explain.
Answer:
Forces play a very important role in life. Without them we wouldn't be able to get around, play sports, eat , cook or even lay down

They are all around us even though most of the time we don't notice when were using a force to complete an action.


4. What is gravity, and how does it effect our everyday life? Explain.

Answer:
Gravity is the force that attracts objects to the center of the earth. It disables the opportunity for objects to float in the air



5. If you weight 180 pounds how many newtons are you?

Answer:
You have to multiply by 9.8. 9.8 x 180= 1,763. In newtons you would weigh 1,764


6. If you are 240 pounds on earth how many pounds are you on the moon?
Answer:

You weight on the moon is 1/6 of your weight on earth, because of the force of gravity acting on you. 240 / 6 = 40. You would weight 40 kg on Earth.
40 x 9.8 = 392 Newtons
