The wheel and axle is a variation of the lever. The axle would be the fulcrum and the wheel is the effort arm. Some examples of the wheel and axle are the tires on your car and a pulley, which I will also explain. A pulley is a version of the wheel and axle used to lift objects. The mechanical advantage is always equal to 1 unless you add more pulleys in which case it would go up by 1 for each load arm added.
