  • A class 2 lever has the load (output force) in between the fulcrum and effort (input force).

  • The effort arm is always longer than the load arm which means the load is easier to lift.

  • Unlike the first class lever you are lifting the same direction as the load.

  • Ideal mechanical advantage always more than one because the effort arm always goes a much farther distance than the load arm.
