Ergonomic Truth

One of the most important things about ergonomics is to prevent injuries to workers/employees. More than 60% of office illnesses are related to stress injuries on the body. People would get theses injuries from the repeated stress on a body part. In order to create ergonomic products people use 3D and 2D mannequins to replicate a human and their high pressure areas. This makes it easier to see what part of the body experiences stress. Now, with the science of Ergonomics people in the office place can get access to more comfortable chairs that cause little to no stress on body parts. For example office chairs have cushions that make it easier on your back and back rests that can be adjusted to improve posture. These changes make workers less focused on pain and more on there jobs.

Also theres are other types of injures that can be benefited from ergonomic fixes such as Carpal Tunnel syndrome. You can get Carpal Tunnel when you are typing or writing a lot and quickly. This makes it very hard to type and it is very painful. There are now better keyboards that provide more comfort for the user and make it harder to receive carpel tunnel. Sometimes when you write a lot you get something called a "writers bump". This is when you put so much pressure on your finger when you are writing that there is extra skin that is rough texture. Most people have experienced this and not liked it so there has been an ergonomic invention for it. It is a piece of rubber called a "pencil grip" that is inserted near the end of the pencil. You put your fingers around it and this will take away all stress on the finger and slowly remove your bump.
